Twisted

Eyes are veiled from seeing flaws
Ears are plugged from hearing obvious truths
Feelings are corrupted by wishful thoughts
The mind incapable of seperating truths from lies
Reality from illusion
Actuality from fantasies
Living in a deceptive dream
Victims of eternal blindness

Universal Melodies

Close your eyes
And set your senses adrift
Let the wind wrap your conscience in a ribbon of songs
Hear the chirps of birds conversing on tree limbs
The dogs barking a hello on their morning walks
Childrens laughing and giggling at their innocent play
People calling a merry greeting to their friends
Take time out of your hectic day
To stop and savour
And listen to the sounds of the living
And feel the joys that they bring
Let it's purity remind you
Of the beauty of your life

Separated Paths

Time ticks out its calculated path,
Lives follow their mortal cycle,
Stories unfurling to the winds of fate,
Fated to meet,
Fated to miss,
Fated to yearn for something invisible,
The face of time shatters with each passing day,
Footsteps retrace a trail of broken glass,
Mortal hearts paint their own wounded stories,
As paths were crossed and seperated,
Lamenting lost chances,
As time ticks quietly by.

Shadowed Feelings

To the one guy who haunts my thoughts:

You are the shadow that infiltrates my dreams,
Opening up doors to foreign territories,
You with your mysterious aura,
Beckons to me,
Encourages me,
Provokes me,
To feel things I have never felt before,
Feelings until now I had fought to ignore,
Only in my dreams, you make your presence known,
Phantom of the heart, you interrupt my well-laid plans,
You've made me yearn for things I had vow to avoid,
Your seductive melody has jeopardized my days and tormented my nights,
I am helplessly under your control,
I am chained, heart and soul.
